    Lithuanian LNG cluster has started 2018 with ambitious goals. The organisation has gathered an international consortium in Klaipėda, which is currently developing a unique vessel for inland waters.

  • The Limarko Group company is entering LNG distribution market

    From the autumn of the year 2018 UAB Baltkonta will start to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation services. Klaipėda-based company, which belongs to the Limarko Group, is getting flagship status in this field as it is the first logistics company in Lithuania to enter LNG distribution market.

  • Klaipėda hosts first BSR LNG Cluster B2B event

    Klaipėda became the platform for the first Baltic Sea Region LNG Cluster B2B event, which started 15th of November. The two-day event brought together providers of LNG technologies, LNG suppliers, representatives from science institutions – around 100 participants.

  • Klaipėda LNG reloading station announces its symbolic start-up

    The LNG reloading station is intended to supply LNG for customers in the Baltic Sea region as well as promote the use of clean fuel for maritime operations and heavy vehicles, ensuring access to LNG for remote consumers.

    Members of the Baltic Sea Region LNG cluster, representing Lithuanian business organizations, and two science institutions signed LNG hybrid rail locomotive production agreement.

    For the third time, the Baltic Sea Clean Maritime Award honourred outstanding eco-minded seafaring on the Baltic Sea. Project “LNG Value Chain for Clean Shipping, Green Ports & Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea Region” (Go LNG) won second prize in the „Innovation and Technology“ category.

    For more than 50 years Nor-Shipping has been activity-filled shipbuilding exhibition and maritime conference that attracts key maritime industry players from across the world. This year the event will be held on 30th May – 2nd June.

In general, energy experts have been increasingly frequently talking about the LNG energy as a growing and promising area. The fact is well known to Modestas Venckus bei Martynas Ambrutis, Klaipėda University students who are presently completing their first year of studies in the LNG Terminal Engineering study programme.
