• Hackathon “Portathon Baltic 2019” explored challenges of modern ports

    On 20-22 of September the first Port Technology Hackathon “Portathon Baltic 2019” took place in Klaipėda, which became a great hit of “Innovation Week” in Western Lithuania. Participants generated 18 solutions full of innovative approach and creativity.

  • KN is engaged in the negotiations regarding the operation of the LNG terminal in Brazil

    KN (AB “Klaipėdos Nafta”) is negotiating with UTE GNA I Geração de Energia S.A. (GNA) for the provision of operations and maintenance services in connection with GNA’S LNG Terminal, located in Porto do Açu (state of Rio de Janeiro), one of the main port complexes in Brazil, which offers a series of logistical solutions for the Brazilian oil and gas market.

  • KN is bidding to operate the LNG terminal in Cyprus

    KN (AB Klaipėdos nafta) is partnering with the market leaders in the tender procedure for the design, construction and operation of the Cyprus LNG import terminal. If successful, KN will provide long-term operation and maintenance services for this terminal.

  • Klaipėda LNG terminal capacities are fully booked until the end of the gas year

    The favourable situation in the international gas markets has been determining the highest operative efficiency of the LNG terminal since the launch of its activities. The terminal capacities are now fully booked for the rest of the Gas Year. The Gas Year is calculated from 1 October of the current year until 30 September of the following year.

    The first industrial LNG gas station will use liquefied gas from the Klaipėda Terminal, which will be stored in Viečiūnai. As required, liquefied gas will be transported to the gas phase and supplied to the company “Litesko”.
